Basic practical life skills like tying shoelaces, simple cooking or food preparation, and even learning how to care for a pet could be introduced. These teach them young homely skills and responsibility, plus keeping things fun with crafts is an excellent approach!

My personal recommendation would be threading beads! It's a good practice for their finger grip and fine tuning those motor skills, and they get to wear their creations too afterward. Win-win situation!
