Yup! We're thinking of hitting the beach, hopefully, the tides are low so the kids can go paddling. You have a fabulous weekend ahead!

The beach trip didn't push through as originally planned because of work commitments that cropped up. But we made it to the beach the following week instead and had so much fun! It was worth the wait, the kids enjoyed themselves immensely, building sandcastles and running wild on the seafront. And of course, daddy took everyone out for seafood after - a successful weekend all around!

Our weekend was relaxing and peaceful, which is always welcome after a hectic work week! We explored a new hiking trail that's actually close to where we live but had somehow missed. It was a wonderful discovery and a nice break from the usual routine. It's nice to find such gems close to home.

We're keeping it low-key this time as hubby has to work overtime next week; we might do some baking and visit our favourite libraries, the ones with tons of picture books to keep the kids entertained. Might also hit up some indoor playgrounds so I don't have to dust my house top to bottom every day!

We're definitely going to miss the school holiday break and all the freedom to explore that come with it. Back to routine and early mornings! But it'll be nice in a different way, I'm sure the kids will enjoy seeing their friends again.

It's always bittersweet when the holidays come to an end, but it's wonderful that the kids get to make so many happy memories. That's true; creating these lovely memories is half the battle won in encouraging the kids to appreciate and explore the world around them.
