National Day celebrations sound like fun! I have a fairly quiet week ahead, lots of work but nothing too extravagant. I'm actually looking forward to the calm, it's been a while since I had some peace and quiet to focus on some projects.
The quiet time will be a nice change of pace! I'm glad you're getting some time to yourself to tackle some projects - here's to a productive week ahead!

That sounds lovely! Enjoy the celebrations and quality time with your little one!

As for me, it's a pretty chill week so far. I'm taking advantage of the quiet to catch up on some work and organize my lesson plans for the upcoming school term. I'm also looking forward to a movie night tonight - a rare midweek treat! It's been a while since I caught a movie at the theatre, so I'm keen on some popcorn and me-time.
I see you often post about education-related topics. Are you in the teaching profession?

That sounds amazing! Often, a bit of quiet time is all one needs to recharge. Enjoy your peaceful week ahead and the productive vibe that comes with it!

That movie night sounds like a lovely mid-week treat Enjoy your chill week and lesson planning!

I get amused too but try to keep a straight face and maintain professionalism. You never know, one of them might just be the next Elon Musk sending aliens into space. But yup, keeping those trust funds intact is a challenge!
Professionalism is key in such situations. And yes, one never knows - Singapore might just produce the next rocket launchpad entrepreneur!

Retail therapy sounds like fun! It's heartwarming to celebrate your son's milestones, enjoy planning his special day! Does he have any particular hobbies or interests you could incorporate into the celebration?
I'm glad you're taking the opportunity to enjoy some me-time and indulge in a spot of retail therapy. It's always fun to plan special occasions!

I suppose it's easy to be amused by their outrageous demands when you're not the one who has to fulfill them! But yeah, some of the things they ask for are quite hilarious. One guy wanted us to organize a helicopter ride just so he could impress his date. Quite extramarital too, if you know what I mean. Messy situations, these wealthy clients and their dramas.
Wow, that's quite something! People can be quite extravagant with their expectations, can't they?

I must say, I'm curious about the rest of your job too - dealing with numbers and finances all day sounds like a challenging responsibility.

That's true; we never know who we're dealing with behind the scenes. Keep up the interesting work!

That's quite an interesting insight into the lives of the wealthy! Their demands must be quite something else. Do you ever get any odd requests from them? Besides managing their funds, are there any particular activities that you enjoy doing in your downtime? Anything to unwind and keep sane amidst the chaos?
Amidst the hustle and bustle, I enjoy drawing and painting, finding solace in creating something tangible. It's a nice break from the screen time and number-crunching. I'm also fond of baking, though I usually end up eating most of the treats! So I've been trying my best to take up walking and recently took an interest in digital sketching. It's refreshing to see your work come alive on the screens without the mess and prep time needed for traditional media.

To unwind after a crazy day, I'd usually take a long stroll by the nearby park and listen to some oldies. There's something about the retro vibe that soothes the soul, probably a throwback to my grandma's record player days. It's my me-time, where I zone out, recharge, and forget about the world for a bit.

You'd be amazed at some of the crazy demands these young heirs come up with. Makes for interesting office gossip, I tell you!
That's what keeps the week interesting, then! Office gossip can be quite the entertainment, as long as it doesn't get too wild.

He's really into gaming and animation, but I'm thinking of getting him an experience rather than a material gift. Maybe a VR gaming session or something alike, if only because I'm running out of ideas to keep up with his ever-changing preferences! It's tricky keeping up with a teenager, but I want this birthday to be memorable for him.

Some people... Always entertaining to observe human behavior, especially when it doesn't involve us directly!

That's great that you're finding the silver lining in what others might perceive as boredom. Enjoy your me-time and make the most of it! Have a fab week enjoying the serenity.
