As a graphic designer, I appreciate all things artistic, and this extends to my parenting. When my kiddo expressed an interest in bugs and insects during our nature walks, I seized the opportunity to introduce some arts and crafts! We created insect masks and pretended to be different bug species. It was so much fun learning together while being silly and immersed in our imaginative play.
Another hit activity was creating art with natural materials gathered during our outdoor adventures - leaves, twigs, and flowers. We've crafted frames for pressed flowers and also made paintings by stamping with found objects like sticks and rocks. My daughter loved using her nature finds as creative tools! Not only did this foster her love for the outdoors, but it also developed her appreciation for art and encouraged creativity.
These nature art projects are a wonderful way to keep kids engaged and aware of the beauty around them. And of course, plenty of bubble fun never fails too! Nature's a Sensory Wonderland and every excursion offers new exciting discoveries.
