As I recall, we also enjoyed making origami shapes and then turning them into little games or playful characters. My mum would always find some creative way to upcycle household items as materials for our crafts. I distinctly remember using colourful buttons, stray threads, and even egg cartons!
Another simple activity was creating our own obstacle course in the backyard. We'd use whatever we could find: old pillowcases for blindfolds, broomsticks for balance beams, and chalk to create hopping footpaths. Kids these days are probably more inventive than we were, with YouTube tutorials and all. But it's amazing how much fun we had with so little!
