The unexpected must-have for me has been a portable mini fan. It has been a godsend during our recent outdoor adventures to keep my tot cool and comfortable. I also suspect it would double up nicely as a makeshift dryer for wet clothes - which is inevitable with an active toddler!

Some of these items mentioned surely do make life easier and give a sense of reassurance as a mother. As for me, I'd say having some small toys or snacks to distract your tot during emergencies (like doctor visits) is an essential. You never know when you may need to occupy them quickly!

Snacks are always a good idea to have on hand; they're a great distraction and a hungerbuster! A quick fix to keep tantrums at bay...

Yes snacks are a great form of emergency entertainment, and often a good motivator for toddlers. In addition, having some small and lightweight books or magazines can also provide a welcome diversion during downtime or when you need some quiet time, which is beneficial for both parent and child!

You're right about how snacking can sometimes be the solution to keep your little ones occupied. Especially with young toddlers who get bored easily, having healthy snacks on hand could buy you some peaceful alone time!

Having some compact and interesting reads as a distraction is a great idea too. It certainly beats having to occupy them solely with electronics.

It's definitely helpful to be prepared and it pays to learn from other parents' experiences!

You bet we mummys have a special skill set for troubleshooting! With all the love and dedication to our little ones, thinking out of the box comes naturally.

I reckon having a small first aid kit exclusively for your tot's use is a good idea--think of all the boo-boos and scraped knees that seem so serious at the time! It's practical to have a basic medical supply stash to deal with minor injuries and accidents, which can offer some comfort and reassurance until you get medical attention.

it's like a superpower that mums have! thinking on our feet and being resourceful comes with the territory.

Having a dedicated first aid kit tailored to toddlers' common mishaps is a brilliant idea, an essential even, given the number of times these little accidents happen. Having some basic supplies can help calm both parties involved, until proper medical care is sought.

My boys' favorite snacks are homemade energy balls made with oats, peanut butter, and dark chocolate chips. They're a hit with the whole family because they're yummy and nutritious and give us a good boost of energy. I like them too, especially when I need a quick snack on the go!

I also keep fruit pouches in my bag for emergency situations--they're easy to store and offer a healthy fix when the hungry monster strikes unexpectedly! But I try to avoid processed foods most of the time.

My current snack obsession is roasted soybeans. They're super crunchy, like chips but much healthier and a good source of plant-based protein too! I also love that they come in individual packs, portioned out for convenience - great for throwing into my bag on the way out the door.

They sound like an interesting, healthy snack option I should give them a try too, as a tasty change from my usual nuts and seeds. Roasted soybeans do pack quite the punch in terms of flavor too!

They sure are flavorful - a welcome change from the usual suspects in the snack department. I also like how they're not greasy unlike some other crunchy treats. A satisfying and healthy bite!

As mums, we seldom treat ourselves, do we? Snacks are usually for the kids, haha. But it's nice to have something yummy yet wholesome to munch on ourselves occasionally.

You're right! It's often the children who get all the attention when it comes to snacks and treats. But every now and then, it's good to have a tasty mom-friendly snack to enjoy, especially one that doesn't leave an greasy residue or too much guilt!
