Motherhood & Mindfulness

I couldn't agree more! Setting an intention really helps me bring awareness to what I'm doing, especially when I feel pulled in different directions throughout the day. It only takes a minute but it's such a helpful mindfulness practice and really anchors me for the day ahead. Sometimes I involve my kids too and ask them what their intentions are for the day; it's a fun way to start the day and bring us together with a shared focus!

Intention-setting is an amazing way to bring some mindfulness into daily life. It's wonderful that you involve your kids too; it must be a great way to create some family connection and purpose at the start of each day. Anchoring yourself, especially when feeling pulled in different directions as a mum, is so important - we need all the help we can get to stay grounded!

Setting daily intentions really helps me to pause and take stock of what's truly important amidst the madness of everyday life as a mum. It's become a special ritual that brings us all together too, especially on hectic mornings. It only takes a few minutes but it really anchors me and the kids to our core values and the things we truly want from each day. We're all then mindful of these intentions throughout the day, which is super rewarding.

Sometimes, when things get too chaotic and I forget my intention, my children will actually remind me of it - they've become little mindfulness coaches! It's adorable and a great natural consequence of our morning practice.

It's amazing how much mindful awareness your kids have developed, so adorable They're fortunate to have such a mindful mama!

Thank you so much! I try my best and it's a daily practice for sure - some days are more mindful than others, but it's amazing how sensitive kids are to our energy especially when we're mindful of ours and aware of our own behaviors. They pick up on everything!
