She proceeded to sob uncontrollably, which left me at a loss as she couldn't be reasoned with. Eventually, I offered to help her find another unicorn-themed top in her wardrobe. Lo and behold, she responded with glee and gratitude, like the crisis was averted. To me, it's a reminder of how differently children perceive situations and their unwavering optimism, even over something as 'small' as a shirt. They truly teach us the value of hope!
