As an introvert, creating special bonding experiences often revolves around calm, quiet activities that create deep connections. I find reading together snuggled up on the couch works well for us bookworms! It encourages imagination and fosters a love for reading, so I make time for it every evening. Also, my son enjoys art, so Messy play with paint and easy craft activities are fun for both parent and child; the focus is not on creating a perfect art piece but enjoying the creative process together. These are definitely some of our simple pleasures!

I'm all about stealing moments of connection when out running errands too. A quick trip to the library or grocery store becomes a exciting mission with their favorite snacks and input on what to buy, turning the mundane into an adventure. It's all about changing your mindset! I do believe that an involved and present parent is better than one who relies on expensive gadgets and gizmos to entertain their kids (not judging though, we've all had those days!).
