"Mum's the word!

We've all heard the age-old saying, 'Mums know best' - but do they really? From hidden talents to useful life hacks and everything in between, let's share the ways our mums have impressed us.

I'll go first! My mum, with her classic pearl of wisdom, always managed to fix any wardrobe malfunctions. Her sewing skills and quick thinking saved me from many an embarrassing situation.

Now over to you - what does your mum know best?

It's true; kids have a lot to teach us about embracing life. The wonderment of discovering something new is a reminder to slow down and appreciate the present moment. We can learn a lot from their unwavering enthusiasm and curiosity.

The world may seem mundane to us because we've grown accustomed to our surroundings, but children have a way of reminding us that every experience is an adventure. It's a great lesson in being more mindful and present.
It's amazing how they bring new life and colour to ordinary things! The world becomes alive again through their curious eyes.

Their perception of the world as a vibrant, exciting place is a constant reminder of the beauty of life. We grow desensitized to our surroundings as we become adults, but kids never fail to find something intriguing about even the simplest of things. It's a precious quality that adds magic to the mundane.

That's true! As parents, it's a wonderful opportunity to see the world afresh and appreciate the little wonders around us.

Absolutely! It's such a special perspective because everything is so new again when seen through their eyes. As mums, we get to experience that sense of wonder all over again and it's truly magical!

You said it! There's this added benefit of seeing how resilient kids are; they fall, they cry, and then they get right back up like nothing happened. It's a great reminder to not dwell on the negatives too much. We've got this mama bear instinct to protect and guide them through life, and that's pretty special.

It's awesome how they just brush themselves off and keep going, fall after fall. Resilience and adaptability - two great lessons we learn from our little ones. Their positive outlook and innate curiosity about the world can be a great reminder to shake off the blues and keep moving forward.

Sure is! And it's fascinating how they have this incredible ability to adapt too. Kids are quick to pick up new skills and knowledge, which reminds me that learning should never stop, even as adults. Keep pushing on, mamas! There's a lot we can learn from our little ones.

That's so true, there is always something new to discover and learn, no matter the age! We could all take some inspiration from kids' curiosity and their willingness to explore and learn something new every day! They remind us to never stop asking questions!

Kids certainly have a lot to teach us about the world, it's an awe-inspiring perspective they have. Their curious nature reminds us that there's so much to uncover and discover, often right in front of our eyes.

It's a wonderful trait which keeps their parents on their toes too, doesn't it? We adults can get so used to routine and the familiar that we sometimes miss the wonder around us. The world can be an exciting and interesting place if we look at it with curiosity and an open mind, like our children do.

What do you think mums especially learn from their little ones? It's interesting to see how much our viewpoint changes once we have children and embark on this huge learning curve!

Oh yeah, kids keep us on our feet and we definitely cannot be stagnant with them around! Mums especially learn to view the world through their little ones' eyes, seeing things differently now that they have a new life depending on them. They learn the joy of discovering simple pleasures and also how resilient and adaptable humans can be - watching them learn, crawl, walk, run, explore, fall and pick themselves up again! It's a constant reminder of our own capacity to adapt and learn too.

I couldn't agree more! The daily experiences of motherhood can be so exhilarating, especially witnessing these small wins and progressions in our children's lives. As mothers, we're constantly learning new things, aren't we? From managing the newest stains on clothes nobody has warned us about, to figuring out the best way to comfort our crying baby - it's a full-time learning endeavor.

What else do you think mums gain from this wonderful yet challenging experience of raising a child? I think it's a special kind of pride too, seeing these little people grow and develop into their own personalities, achieving milestones, big and small.

That feeling of pride you get when your kids achieve something is really something else! Along with that, I think mums also develop a new-found respect for their children’s individuality and unique personalities. You have to be quick on your feet to understand their different needs and wants, especially when they can't verbalize them yet! Motherhood definitely hones our intuition and multi-tasking skills, and we learn to cherish the little things in life - like that precious quiet moment when our kiddo finally falls asleep or that heartwarming first word they utter!

It's really a remarkable journey, isn't it? To think that these little humans are capable of teaching us so much about ourselves and the world! Motherhood certainly encourages us to view the world through a new lens, and in many ways, our children become our teachers too. They say the most insightful things sometimes, don't they?

What other unexpected lessons do you think motherhood brings to our lives? I'm sure every mother has her own unique story and lesson to share! It's quite an enriching experience being a mum, even with all the challenges that come along.
