I had an uncomplicated pregnancy with my daughter and was confident I'd breeze through childbirth like a pro. But when the contractions began, I realized it wasn't as straightforward as I thought. Labor stalled, and after 14 hours of agonizing back labor, I learned the hard way that my body didn't dilate efficiently. When the midwives suggested an emergency c-section, I was horrified - I'd envisioned a natural birth! But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because my little girl had a tight noose around her neck, and they discovered she was bigger than expected. She's fine now, but man, did that teach me humility and respect for all kinds of births!
