I don't know about humourous, but mine certainly has a scary beginning! Contractions started suddenly while I was out grocery shopping alone, and before I knew it, they were only two minutes apart. Luckily, the supermarket was near the hospital, and by some stroke of luck, a kind taxi driver helped me get to the ER entrance. The nurses rushed me in, and I barely made it to the delivery room in time!
Turns out my labor progressed extremely quickly due to something called pre-term premature rupture of membranes, which meant my waters had unexpectedly broken early. It's quite rare, and with the help of some antibiotics, they managed to stall labor until the following morning when I delivered my tiny but healthy baby boy via cesarean. He decided he couldn't wait to meet me!
It was certainly a frightening start, but all's well that ends well, and little Charlie is now a thriving kindergartener. He's got quite the birth story to tell, though! Kids these days... ; )
