Impulse control is a great point and so true! It's a challenge and many parents often overlook that particular milestone. Celebrating these moments can really reinforce positive behavior and encourage more self-discipline in the future.I think we often miss out on celebrating the milestone of improved impulse control. It's a challenge for young children to understand the concept, and it requires loads of patience and Reminders (yes, the capital 'R' is intentional!) from parents and caregivers alike. But when our kids begin to show signs of progress, such as being able to hold off on an impulsive decision or respond to redirection, that's a remarkable milestone! It reflects their developing self-control and burgeoning ability to think before acting.
With so many milestones to acknowledge, it makes being a parent feel like an adventure doesn't it? All these little triumphs are so exciting! Any other suggestions are most welcome.
