Work Life Balance

Visual reminders are life-savers! I'm also a big fan of whiteboards and have one in my home office that keeps me sane. Post-it notes are a godsend for busy parents - I use different colours to distinguish between different types of tasks/reminders too.

And you're so right about having designated spots for storing things. It's like the physical version of creating folders for virtual documents, and it really helps with the mental workload when everything has its place.

Teaching our kids to develop their own organisation systems is such a great idea, especially since it empowers them to take charge and feel in control from an early age! Would love to hear your tips on how you've encouraged them to develop good habits :)

I totally agree that teaching kids organizational skills is empowering! My toddler is still too young, but I plan to involve her in simple sorting and filing tasks, like putting toys away in designated boxes and also allowing her to decorate the labels for easier visual identification. For older kids, delegating specific areas/drawers for them to organize their school stuff is a great way to cultivate ownership and responsibility.

Teaching kids young how to be organized sets them up for success as they grow older, and it definitely empowers them! Love the idea of getting them to decorate the labels too - a fun way to make it visual and engaging :)

Absolutely! I've been trying to implement this with my own kids and it's amazing how capable they are of understanding the concept of organization once you break it down for them. Decorating the labels really makes it fun for them and they feel a sense of ownership over their newfound responsibilities - it's very empowering for them!
