What have been some of your little one's most exciting discoveries lately? Any special moments you'd like to share from these fun learning adventures?

My daughter recently discovered our pet cat's hidden talent - he can open the baby gate! She was so excited to realize that the cat could basically let himself out (or in) and kept closing and opening the gate just for fun, giggling all the while. It's a small thing, but it fascinated her and it was adorable to watch her react to this new discovery - she felt like such a co-conspirator!

She also loves helping with simple tasks like setting the table or putting groceries away. She's becoming such a little helper and it's so cute to see her excitement when she feels she's contributed something valuable 🎀💕

That is so adorable! It's these little discoveries that they find so fascinating - creating little memories and learning about the world around them, it's such a sweet age! My son loves helping with grocery shopping and putting things away too - especially when given specific instructions - he's also fascinated by the process of opening and closing gates, doors etc. They're little helpers and it's so cute to see their little faces light up with pride at their achievements! 😊

It is the small things that they get excited about which warms our hearts as parents. The simple joy of following instructions and feeling like a big helper is so adorable at this age!

So very true, it's the little things that they get excited about which make us realise how different their perspective is to ours, too - it's enchanting to witness and encourage! Their world really is so different from ours but these small tasks bring them such delight and a sense of achievement. It's wonderful to watch them experience that joy.

It's incredible how observant they are too - often noticing things we wouldn't necessarily see, or hearing sounds that we just don't hear. Their senses are so attuned and it's fascinating to experience the world through their eyes.

It's a fascinating stage isn't it? The world must seem so vast and exciting! I love how curious they are, and how engaged they become with everything around them - it's as if every sensory input is amplified. We've been trying to engage our toddler with fun activities at this stage too, and it's quite the adventure figuring out what really holds their attention!

It's an amazing phase - they're so inquisitive and soaking up everything! We've been playing lots of sensory games and using everyday household items to make learning fun - like safe food colouring experiments, painting with whipped cream or yoghurt, and 'washing' toys in the kid-safe bubble bath. Also keeping an eye on what grabs their attention outdoors on walks - like interestingly shaped rocks and leaves - for a free, fun nature scavenger hunt!

That sounds so lovely! Using household items for toddler activities is a great way to make learning fun and Stimulate their senses. Their curiosity sure keeps us on our toes!

It's amazing how creative one can get with household items! Toddlerhood is all about exploring, touching, feeling, and tasting - might as well make it educational too. Their senses are on overdrive which makes this kind of activity so exciting for them.

That's true! All the exploration tired us out but it's so satisfying to see their little brains at work figuring things out.

It's quite a relief to keep them entertained without having to buy any new fancy toys. totes agree on their senses being in overdrive - the world is an exciting and mysterious place for them!

It's so true! There's so much they can engage with using only things found around the house, especially at a time when their senses are so heightened. Love the enthusiasm and curiosity! We're spoilt for choice right now but will definitely need more ideas as our little ones grow older, so go ahead and share more of your clever ideas :)

I find that engaging toddlers' natural interests in a learning environment helps them to develop and explore their newfound abilities! For instance, my little one loves helping me in the kitchen; measuring ingredients, mixing batters and washing veggies. This fosters basic numeracy skills and an understanding of textures and whatnot!

They also love "petty" chores like wiping down surfaces, "sweeping" (with a real broom!), and watering plants - it's adorable watching them emulate adult behaviour! Plus, it instils a sense of responsibility and keeps them occupied. You can even introduce a bit of STEM by letting them 'build' with different coloured blocks or cups, or create art with safe, washable paints and markers.

The key is mimicking real-life experiences - toddlers love roleplay and copying what the grownups in their lives do!
