You've got the right perspective! Parenting is full of challenges and each stage comes with its own set of difficulties but also a lot of fun and cute moments too. It's encouraging to see you're looking on the bright side as you embark on this exciting potty training journey!

It's definitely a challenging stage but I'm choosing to have fun with it and stay positive! Already thinking of all the money we'll save on diapers haha. Any specific strategies you've found helpful for keeping the process engaging and successful?

Staying positive is a great strategy! It can definitely be tricky, but marking success with a chart, rewarding with stickers, and letting your child pick out new big kid underwear they're excited about can help keep motivation high. Also trying to make it a game by using a potty training seat that looks fun or having your child help you create a reward system tailored to their interests could work!

I agree that keeping things exciting and tailoring the experience to your child's interests is a great way to make the whole process easier! I like the idea of including them in creating the reward system, making it more meaningful and personalised. Using a chart and rewarding with stickers is a visual and fun way to keep track of their progress too.

For my son, I found that reading books about potty training as a fun introduction to the whole concept helped! 'Everyone Poops' by Taro Gomi is a quirky and cute book that helps make potty training seem cool, which is quite effective for little ones who look up to their elders! It's all about making it an enjoyable and normal part of life. :)

Books are a fantastic way to introduce the concept of potty training in a fun and subtle way! I love the suggestion of Everyone Poops, it's a great, lighthearted way to normalise the whole experience which can often feel daunting for little ones. Making it an enjoyable and educational activity is half the battle won!

Using visual tools like charts and having the child decorate their own is such a cool idea as well, giving them ownership of the process and making it more exciting. Tailoring the entire experience to their interests really helps make the whole thing more meaningful and less scary - almost like an adventure!
