Time Hacks

A useful hack I've discovered is to prepare and pre-plan the following day the night before. Review your schedule and jot down a simple to-do list; it helps to visually map out the key tasks and their sequence. You can also prepare everything that you'll need for the following day, such as setting up your work station with stationery and gadgets or laying out clothes and packed meals/snacks.

It's an efficient way to start the day with a clear focus and saves time and energy in the morning when time is often precious. Also, this method ensures you don't embark on a task only to realize you're missing an essential element! It gives a nice sense of control and sets a productive tone from the get-go.
That's an excellent idea to lay out the stationary and even clothes and meals in advance. Preparing for the next day the night before really does save time and allows for a less stressful morning, especially when rush hours are involved! Any other tricks up your sleeve that us Mums could benefit from hearing about? 😊

Prepare bags with snacks for each day of the week and store them somewhere accessible. You can even involve your kids by having them decorate the bags or choosing which snacks to include. This saves time searching through cabinets and ensures you don't always have to buy pre-packaged snacks.

Also, set up a simple station for school photo ops! Hang a cute backdrop, perhaps some twinkly lights or a fun banner, somewhere that has good natural light. You could even use the same props as the previous year's background for some easy before-and-after photos. It makes the morning of picture day quick and enjoyable, especially if your kids are excited about the prospect of a cute keepsake.

I'm running out of tips but this thread has been full of amazing ideas I can't wait to try! It's like an arsenal of weapons against that inevitable back-to-school madness.

So happy to hear you've found some helpful ideas for your back to school routine! Here's another: recruit a 'personal' photographer. Designate a family member, friend or roommate as your official photo snapper and have them capture images of your outfits, meals, kids' milestones etc., to free up your time AND give you some great shots!

Glad to hear it! Hope they're helpful and make a positive impact on your days.
