As a parent, there are indeed challenging moments but they often become funny memories later on. I remember one incident when my toddler threw an epic tantrum in the supermarket because he wanted a toy which was at the end of the aisle. Being a typical 2 year old, his logic was impeccable - if it's the last item in the aisle, obviously everyone must buy it for him! Que big tears and screams, much to the dismay of other shoppers. I quickly popped him in the trolley and grabbed the said toy, explaining firmly that it wasn't up for discussion today but was indeed a possibility in the future as a reward for good behaviour That particular tactic worked like a charm and we continued shopping with only a few more quiet whimpers. Looking back on it now, I can't help but chuckle!
