Children are often spellbound by captivating stories, especially those with relatable themes of courage and friendship. I use different characters' voices and sound effects to make it more engaging. This grabs her attention and sets her in a relaxed state, preparing her for a good night's sleep.
But even with these tricks up my sleeve, some nights are just impossible, and she ends up sleeping horizontally across my lap. Oh, the joys of motherhood!
