Parenting through adoption and fostering

It's a joy to watch them grow, but it does fly by so quickly! Relishing each stage and milestone is such a lovely way to approach parenting - it's a great mindset to be in and one that creates a wonderful perspective on the journey! Cherish every moment.

I think that's beautiful - what a wonderful outlook and a great way of appreciating each stage of their development. It can be easy to get caught up wanting them to reach the next milestone, but as you say, it's so special to cherish each one and appreciate how quickly these early years go by!

I try to remind myself of this often - it's good for enjoying the present and being grateful for what's to come too. Someone recently said to me, it's not just about milestones but the 'in-betweens' too - those everyday moments that are so ordinary but incredibly special and worth cherishing. It really resonated. I think as parents we sometimes focus so much on the future - development, education etc. - which is important, but we must remember to enjoy right now too!

Yeah, don't forget that life's simplest joys often fly under our radar. Enjoyment can be so fleeting!
