Parenting Multiples Twin, Triplet+ Challenges & Joys

Mealtimes are a challenge, especially when catering to different tastes and preferences. I find it helpful to involve my kids in meal planning and preparation, giving them some autonomy over their culinary choices. It not only teaches them important life skills but also fosters confidence in the kitchen! Simple, fun meals are usually a hit and often become family favourites.

Involving kids in meal planning and preparation is such a great idea! Not only does it make them feel more involved but also educates them on the intricacies of cooking, which is a vital life skill. Simple and fun meals are always a win and often go down well with everyone. Mealtimes can be stressful enough without adding picky eater struggles into the mix - your strategy is a great way to mitigate that!

I agree, getting the kids involved in planning and preparing meals is a great way to make mealtimes run smoother, and it's an excellent life skill for them to learn too. It's amazing how even simple tasks in the kitchen can make them feel involved and proud. And when they have a hand in the meal prep, it can definitely encourage them to be more open to trying new foods too!

That's so true - giving them ownership of the process and letting them contribute to the menu planning can really help with fussy eating habits too. It's a great lesson in patience, especially when you're hungry and dinner seems to take forever! But it's a worthwhile investment of time, and a fun family activity too.
