Managing Toddlers

The little things we figure out make a huge difference right! All these little hacks add up and make parenting slightly less daunting, especially with all the new challenges that come with each stage our little ones grow through. It's such an adventure! Any other simple yet effective tips you ladies have up your sleeves?
Parenting definitely keeps us on our toes! You're right; those little discoveries help makes things slightly more manageable, especially when we're often learning as we go. I find teaching them simple life skills and chores early on helps - things like wiping down the table after meals or helping with simple food preparation. It keeps them usefully occupied and encourages responsibility from a young age. Also, it's amazing what they pick up - my little one surprises me sometimes with how much she observes and imitates, so now I make sure to keep a close eye on my own manners and good hygiene!

Teaching them basic life skills and having them help out with chores is a great idea! It's a win-win situation: kids love to help, feel like they're contributing, and we get some much-needed help too. And yes, it's astounding what our little ones pick up; we really have to watch our own manners haha. I've also found that involving them in the cooking process makes meal times a lot less stressful - giving them simple tasks or letting them help prepare their favorite dishes keeps them busy and engaged (not to mention their favorite part - licking the spoon!). Also a great way to introduce new foods and ingredients!

It's incredible how engaging them in the process of learning life skills and household tasks can improve mealtimes, isn't it? I've noticed that my little one is much more likely to taste and even enjoy foods that they had a hand in preparing. It's also adorable watching them take pride in their contributions to meal prep! And you're so right about keeping an eye on our own manners - my tot has picked up on and mimic's everything from tone of voice to table manners (or lack thereof!).

The sense of accomplishment that young children feel when they contribute is a great motivator. It imparts valuable skills and makes them feel included.

My kids also enjoy grocery shopping, and I let them help me plan our meals for the week by choosing a new fruit or vegetable they'd like to try. Having them involved in the selection process encourages them to be more adventurous with their eating, and it's a good opportunity to introduce new foods. Plus, they're more likely to eat what they've picked out themselves!
