Some days, my daughter would dawdle extra slowly whenever I'm in a rush to leave the house. You know how toddlers love to meander when they sense your haste! So, I started pretending that we were playing a race game, which became our fun pre-leaving ritual. The idea was to see who could put on their shoes the fastest, or race to the car without running. It bought me some entertainment and cooperation when needed!
 
Their boundless enthusiasm and the way they see magic in the mundane is so refreshing. It reminds me daily of how jaded we become as adults - makes me smile every time!
You're right about every child being unique; what works for one may not work for another, keeping us on our toes! But that also means we've twice the resources when we share our experiences and insights.
