Public meltdowns are definitely challenging moments! I remember my daughter going through a phase of tantrums in the toy aisle of all places - she didn't get her way and threw herself on the floor in protest.
Instead of giving in, which would not have helped long term, I knelt down and offered a distraction; luckily, it worked like a charm!
I learnt that staying calm and redirecting their focus can be powerful tools during such situations. Now, I'm more confident managing them without feeling flustered, knowing these episodes are common and part of their development. I also keep a few tricks up my sleeve, like having tasty treats or small toys handy!
