Feeding Techniques

Essential oils and scented candles create a soothing feeding atmosphere with some lovely aromas. Great idea to add some gentle fairy lights as a night light too! There's so many ways to create a lovely sensory experience during feedings.
All the better to help baby enjoy their meals and associate them with pleasant experiences! Sometimes it's the simplest hacks that make the biggest difference, right down to incorporating some beautiful scents and lighting.

Scents and lighting - two simple yet impactful tools! We often underestimate how our senses influence our appetite and overall experience of eating. Setting the ambiance with some soothing or stimulating aromas and strategic lighting can really enhance the feeding experience.

What are some of your favorite scent/lighting combinations you have discovered that help tantalize your baby's taste buds? Some ideas I have come across include:

- Citrus scents with a warm, yellow glow to mimic a sunny day. The warmth encourages conversation and a cheerful mood while the citrus scent is stimulating and tangy - perfect for breakfast or brunch.

- Light some lavender or baby-friendly calming essential oil and dim the lights for a soothing dinner ambiance. The aroma helps settle baby's nerves and the relaxed environment cues them that mealtime is a cozy, comforting affair.

I'd love to hear your creative hacks around this!
