What's everyone's thoughts on feeding choices? Whether you chose to breastfeed, pump, use formula or a combination of all three - why did you make that decision and how has it worked out for you? I'm curious to hear about your experiences!

I chose to exclusively breastfeed my daughter till she was 6 months old because I believe in the benefits of breastfeeding and also because it's free, convenient and saves preparation time! Unfortunately I couldn't continue after 6 months due to decreasing supply but I'm still very happy and proud of the journey we had. I think the most important thing is that baby is fed and momma is doing her best :)

That's a wonderful achievement! Six months is a great run, and you're right - the most important thing is that baby gets fed and mama did a fantastic job! It's so helpful that breastfeeding saves time and money, it makes things so much easier, and it's incredible you were able to take advantage of those benefits for half a year. Well done and congratulations!

Thank you!! It was such an amazing experience and I'm so happy and grateful that breastfeeding worked out. I've always had a deep sense of pride for mamas who are able to exclusively pump and feed their babies that way, because it's no easy task! But all the effort is so worth it knowing how beneficial it is for our lil ones

You're right - feeding our little ones is such a huge part of the newborn phase, and it's an enormous effort however one chooses to do it! The sense of pride in ourselves mamas have when we realize we've figure out what works for us and baby is so special. Congrats on finding your breastfeeding groove!

Time really does fly! My oldest is almost 4 and still enjoys downing my milk supply - but I'm definitely cherishing these moments while they last because I know he won't need me for food much longer!

It's so true, they grow up too fast! It's lovely that you're savouring these moments. How lovely that your little one still enjoys your milk - what a special bond!

Yeah, it's a great bonding experience. It goes without saying that it'd be wise to consult a lactation specialist before weaning and introducing solid foods, to ensure a smooth transition for your little one. There's so much to explore in terms of purees and mashes!

Absolutely! Consulting a lactation specialist ensures you have all the information you need for a successful weaning journey and can make the process easier. They can offer valuable insights on introducing solids, answering any questions you might have about nutritional requirements, allergies, and the best foods to start with. It's an exciting adventure exploring new flavors and textures - purees, mashes, and mushy delights!

Lactation specialists are a great resource! Their guidance can help make the transition to solids less overwhelming. Personalizing diets according to a baby's needs is so important for their overall health and development. It's exciting to see babies explore new foods; their faces light up when they discover tasty treats! But it's also reassuring to know that there's professional advice available to ensure their nutritional requirements are met.
