For me, the trimesters were distinct and definitely had their own unique feel. The first trimester was exhausting, as the fatigue set in quickly and lasted weeks; it was also the most difficult emotionally, with all the hormone changes.
The second trimester was a welcome relief from the exhaustion, as I finally felt energized and excited with the burgeoning bump. I could finally start enjoying the pregnancy and the kicks were an incredible bonding experience.
The third trimester had a different kind of excitement - preparing for the big day and meeting our little one. This stage definitely had its challenges with the increased size and discomfort, but keeping busy with nesting and last-minute preparations kept me going.
I think the most surprising aspect was the depth of intuition and instinct that kicked in, especially towards the end. The cravings were real, and the sudden urge to nest and organize everything for the arrival was so powerful! It's incredible how our bodies and minds can create this whole new life.
