Some challenges that come to mind are managing tantrums and fostering independence during the toddler years.
For tantrums, I've found that giving choices helps. Offering two options gives structure and a sense of control, which calms things down. Like choosing between two outfits or snacks, they feel involved and less likely to throw a fit.
To encourage independence, I started letting my toddlers pick their outfits from a young age. It's adorable seeing them develop their style, and it saves me from endless negotiations over what to wear that day! This also extends to simple tasks like picking up toys - providing clear instructions and encouragement empowers them to take pride in their abilities.
What other strategies do you all have for navigating these stages? Always good to hear fresh ideas!
