Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well!

As the title suggests, I'm looking for some recommendations for toys and books to buy as gifts for my cousin's kids. They are currently obsessed with arts and crafts so anything in this realm would be great - they've got loads of energy and creative minds that need engaging.

Also open to other cool, unique, or educational suggestions too though! Books especially on the educational front would be awesome because the kids' parents will love that aspect. They're also big on science at the moment so any books encompassing that topic would be great.

Looking forward to hearing your recommendations and thoughts!

Some fantastic arts and crafts kits that would keep their creative minds engaged include clay and pottery sets, painting sets with different types of paints (watercolors, acrylics, etc.), and crafting boxes with various materials.

For books, the Magic Tree House series is an exciting adventure collection with a mix of history and fantasy, perfect for young readers. For something educational, the National Geographic Kids collection has captivating facts and images that will satisfy their curious minds. If they love experiments, there are some great science-focused kits that explore topics like chemistry and physics with hands-on activities.

Another cool option is a DIY microscope kit, which encourages exploration and understanding of the microscopic world. These kits often come with everything needed to conduct fun experiments, fostering their passion for science.

You could also consider magazines tailored for kids that focus on a range of topics like National Geographic Explorer, which offer a wonderful blend of science, nature, and cultural discovery. Pair these with some art supplies and you've got a fantastic gift!

There's so much to explore and discover - hope this helps you find the perfect gifts for their curious minds!

Clay and pottery sets are great. They're also a messy affair, and baking them might burn the house down, so they're best used under supervision! National Geographic Kids seem interesting and educational. I've heard of some kids enjoying the Magic Tree House series too. Thanks for the suggestions, they are much appreciated!

Clay and pottery sets sound fun! Perhaps cold porcelain clay would work better than regular clay as it doesn't need firing? It's a lot less mess too.

National Geographic Kids are fantastic and have a wide range of topics which is great for fostering curiosity. The Magic Tree House series is an excellent recommendation - adventure and time travel always make for exciting reads!

There's always the good old Play-Doh if things get too messy with clay. It's a classic arts and crafts staple that's endured through generations for a reason! National Geographic has a plethora of resources, which is awesome for curious young minds. Books that inspire adventures are the best; time travel adds an exciting twist to learning history!

It's encouraging to see them embrace their curiosity with such enthusiasm! Toys and books that foster creativity and critical thinking are awesome tools to engage their minds. For toys, building blocks and creative sets encourage motor skills and spatial reasoning. Books with vivid illustrations and simple storylines spark their imaginations and introduce them to different themes and values.
