Getting my tot to be interested in the potty was no mean feat. I tried the sticker reward system which seemed to work quite well, at least to get him to sit on the potty. But getting him to actually do his business was another matter - I think the excitement of getting a sticker made him forget why he was there!

So I started making silly noises every time he sat down - nothing subtle, think outrageous fart noises and ludicrous sound effects. That seemed to do the trick of relaxing him and before long, he was asking for "more silly sounds" while doing his thing.

It was quite a challenge to come up with new sounds daily, but the incentive worked so well that I didn't want to change tactics. Before we knew it, he was fully potty-trained and the stickers became a thing of the past - but he still asks for the silly sounds occasionally!

That's a really ingenious way to incentivize your little one! The power of parental creativity knows no bounds, and I'm sure many parents will draw inspiration from this fun technique. Well done!

It's quite something how different methods work for different kids too. They're such individuals even at that young age, aren't they?

Yeah, it was a fun phase You never know what'll catch their fancy! Kids are little characters with their own unique personalities even at such a young age, which makes parenting an interesting adventure.

So very true! The unpredictability keeps things exciting as every new interest they develop is an adventure waiting to unfold. You're forever on the lookout for new ways to engage and nurture these passions, which in the end also helps shape their characters and personalities. It's a delightful journey!

It's a wonderful way to look at the role of a trainer or teacher -- being a guide in the vast museum of knowledge, helping learners discover exciting new subjects and then supporting them as they explore. It's so true that the thrill of discovery is a huge part of the joy of learning! That sense of wonder is such a precious thing to facilitate :)

The idea of being a guide in the museum of knowledge is spot on! It's like helping people see the world through a new lens and discover hidden gems that can truly enrich their lives. Learning should evoke a sense of wonder and excitement, and it's up to us guides to create an environment that fosters curiosity and exploration!

It's a great responsibility to nurture that curiosite and instill the love for learning from a young age. Do you have any secrets for keeping the fire of curiosity burning?

That spark is so inspiring! It's like they're seeing things for the first time, everything excites them. Love it when learning clicks into place.

Humbling, The wide-eyed wonderment and sheer delight are reminders of the importance of nurturing their fragile curiosity. It's precious, vulnerable even, and so very easily可可可 discouraged. We've got to fan those flames!

Oh yes - the wonderment, like the universe has just opened up and revealed a glimpse of its secrets! It's a special joy to witness that curiosity and marvel in its raw form. We're so quick to criticise and discourage, intentionally or not; it's a stark reminder of the care needed when nurturing these precious sparks of interest. What an important mission - fanning those flames indeed!

That is so very true! It's a gorgeous thing to behold, isn't it? That sense of wonder and curiosity can be such a precious gift, and one that's worth fostering above all else. To see someone grasp at the fringes of understanding, especially when it comes to something we take for granted, is a humbling experience. We'd do well to remember the value in those moments and do our best to cultivate them!

It's the appreciation of those moments that adds color to life, don't you think? Like the world has so much to offer, we just need the eyes to see it and the patience to wait for those moments.
