There's so much to love about toys and books! What toy do you most cherish? Do you still have it, or did you pass it on? Did your favourite book as a child impact how you view toys today? Let's dive into this wonderful world and share our experiences.

I'll begin with the special stuffed rabbit I had growing up. Its fur was worn thin from years of being cuddled, and its original fluffy tail fell off long ago, but it remains an old, cherished friend. Just seeing it brings back so many warm memories.

The special toy that I held dear as a child was a soft toys shaped like a purple hippo holding a red heart. My mum bought it for me on one of her business trips when I was three years old, and I named him Hugo the Hippo. He went everywhere with me - an integral member of our family - and the sight of his tattered and worn appearance, with one of his antennae missing, fills me with warm nostalgia. Hugo continues to bring comfort to my son now and remains a beloved member of our household.

As for books, I was an avid reader as a child, and it's difficult to pinpoint a single title that influenced me the most. However, the works of Dr. Seuss stood out, with their whimsical words and fantastical illustrations. They ignited my imagination and showed me the joy of reading and learning, which has stayed with me. The Cat in the Hat was a favorite, as was Green Eggs and Ham. I still reach for them sometimes, and the familiarity is comforting.
