koala starts a conversation about staying healthy during pregnancy, focusing on energizing snacks as she's always hungry. The discussion that follows sees numerous suggestions being put forward by fellow posters. The general consensus is that dried fruits are a convenient, tasty and healthy snack option, portioned into small packs to grab on the go. Dates are also mentioned as a natural sweet treat.

Other suggestions include mixing nuts with dried fruits, yoghurt with honey and berries, and creating your own trail mix with dark chocolate chips added for an extra energy boost. This crunchy and sweet combination is a hit with several contributors. Some recommend adding mini carrots or celery sticks for a savoury twist to the sweet snacks. The importance of having these healthy and tasty options readily available is highlighted as a great strategy for combating cravings.

Hi everyone, thought I'd start a thread on staying healthy during pregnancy - any tips are very welcome!

I'm interested in hearing about how others have kept both body and mind in good shape while pregnant and what strategies you used. What foods did you find most beneficial to keep your energy levels up? And how did you stay active? I'd love to hear your go-to healthy snacks too - I feel like I'm forever hungry at the moment!

I've been trying to up my walk count, doing a good long stroll every day which seems to help keep my mood and energy levels stable. As for food, I'm really into citrus fruits right now - they seem to hit the spot every time! But I'm always looking for more substantial snack ideas. Can't wait to hear your suggestions!

OP's focus on keeping healthy during pregnancy is admirable! Daily walks are a great way to maintain stability, and it's awesome that OP has found what works best for them.

As for snacks, maybe OP could try nuts or dried fruits - they're nutritious and handy when you're always on the go. These snacks are energising and can satisfy hunger pangs. Or even some yogurt with berries could be a tasty, healthy option too!

Thanks for the suggestions! I appreciate the ideas because, yeah, I'm always on the go and need snacks that are easy and energising. Nuts and dried fruits are great; I sometimes mix the two together and it tides me over till my next meal. I love yoghurt too, especially with some honey and fresh berries - a real treat! I'll definitely be trying these options out.
