I'm currently a student, but I just remembered something from my school days that really puts things into perspective for me. We had a massive fire in our school's science lab when I was about 12 years old. The whole thing was engulfed in flames by the time the fire department arrived - it made national news! Our school had to be partially rebuilt afterward.
