I'm curious what other mum's can't live without during this special time, and which ones are actually worth the hype? What have you found to be absolute essentials for your newborn's arrival? I want to prepare a great diaper bag for my baby and was considering some of these must-haves: breast pumps, swaddle blankets, baby carriers, and nursing pillows.

In addition to what you've mentioned, I've found a few more maternity essentials that were absolute game-changers for me.

1. A soundmachine or white noise device - It helped immensely with sleep! Our baby could hear mum's heartbeat from the womb, and after birth, she seemed to feel comfort in hearing it as well.

2. A baby skin thermometer: This has been super helpful in tracking our little one's temperature during sickness time. The traditional thermometer is sometimes inaccurate on infants due to their thin layers of fat under the skin.

3\. Baby clothes that can double in various uses - Onesies and tiny t-shirts with snap buttons are great for different stages; you could switch them out to accommodate your baby’s growth without needing a complete wardrobe overhaul for each phase.

These might be worth considering as must-haves when preparing your diaper bag.
