There are three trimesters and they each have very distinct characteristics. The first trimester marks the foundation of your baby's growth, the second you'll likely feel your little one kick for the first time, and the third you'll be preparing for your little one's arrival!
1st Trimester:
- Weeks 1 to 12
- Critical stage of your baby's development; organ formation begins
- Morning sickness, fatigue, and mood changes are common
2nd Trimester:
- Weeks 13 to 28
- Your baby starts to move, which you may feel as early as week 16
- Energy levels improve, appetite returns, and the notorious glow appears
3rd Trimester:
- Weeks 29 to 40
- Baby continues to grow rapidly and prepares for birth
- Body changes such as swelling in hands and feet, breast enlargement, and increased vaginal discharge occur
Each trimester has its own challenges and delights, but you've made it this far! Congratulations! Keep us updated on your progress. I'd love to hear about this incredible journey.
