Let's dive right into it! The first trimester begins at conception and lasts until week 12; some key changes occur during this time. Your body is undergoing hormonal shifts, which can cause nausea, fatigue, mood swings, and food cravings. Your baby is also developing rapidly, with organ formation beginning as early as week 3.

The second trimester is generally considered the most comfortable phase, spanning weeks 13 to 28. You'll likely experience increased energy levels, and your symptoms may lessen. The fetus grows and gains weight, and you might start feeling those famous kick counts!

The third and final trimester is from week 29 to birth. This stage brings many exciting changes as the baby prepares for arrival; there's an increase in fetal movements, and you'll likely notice more pronounced body changes like a growing bump and backaches. The risk of preterm labor also heightens, so extra care and monitoring are needed.

Each trimester has unique experiences and milestones - it's an incredible journey! Let's share our symptoms, joys, and tips for each stage.

The first trimester definitely kept me on edge with all the hormonal changes and symptoms, but thankfully they subsided as the second trimester came around. The feeling of relief when you start to feel those little kicks is exhilarating!

However, as the second trimester progressed and I moved into the third, the anxiety of preparing for birth started kicking in. I found that focusing on each week and the changes it brought helped me stay calm and enjoy the journey. Each stage definitely comes with its own challenges and wonders!

What were some of your experiences in the early stages of pregnancy? Any symptoms or feelings you'd like to share?

I was extremely nauseous during the first trimester; the constant feeling of queasiness was no fun, lasting for weeks on end. And as it was followed by extreme exhaustion, it felt like survival mode most days!

Thankfully, things got better as time went on, and I started to enjoy the pregnancy more. The fascination with feeling those first subtle flutters and then later, the distinct kicks, made me appreciate the wonders of the human body.

Now, as I near the end of my third trimester, I'm captivated by the detail in the ultrasound scans. It's incredible to witness the intricate details of a tiny pair of hands or feet! Nature's artistry is astounding.

The wonder of pregnancy and all its stages never fails to amaze, especially when you realise just how intricate and detailed everything becomes! Those little kicks and flutters are such a special part of it all - a reminder that all the discomfort is so worth it!

It's incredible how each stage has its own challenges and wonders, like an adventure with a fantastic payoff in store. The body is an amazing thing!
