Staying healthy during pregnancy is a top priority for every expectant mother, and it can sometimes be overwhelming to navigate all of the advice out there!
Some key tips include:
1) Eat well: Focus on balanced meals and snacks with plenty of fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
2) Stay active: Aim for about 30 mins of moderate exercise daily - walking, swimming & yoga are great options. Keep yourself hydrated!
3) Sleep & Relaxation: Getting good sleep is essential for both you and baby. Try to rest when you can, and also incorporate some relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing into your routine.
4) Vitamins & Minerals: Ensure you're getting enough key nutrients like folic acid, iron, and calcium. Take prenatal vitamins under the guidance of your healthcare provider.
5) Monitor Weight Gain: Check with your doctor about the right amount of weight gain for your body and baby. Aim for a healthy, steady increase.
6) Prenatal Care: Regular checkups are vital! Keep all your appointments and don't hesitate to reach out with any concerns.
7) Limit Processed Foods: These can be high in salt, sugar & unhealthy fats. Opt for whole, unprocessed foods whenever possible.
8) Manage Stress: Take time for yourself and practice stress management techniques like yoga, walking or talking to a trusted friend.
