- drink up! Staying hydrated is super important, aim for 10 cups/ 2.4 liters of water a day.

- eat well, and often! Focus on healthy snacks like fruits, veggies, lean proteins and whole grains to fuel your body.

- get active. Aim for about 30 mins of exercise daily. Walking, swimming & prenatal yoga are great options.

- rest up. Listen to your body & take naps when needed.

- de-stress. Meditate, practice deep breathing or do something you enjoy to stay calm.

Some additional tips could be:

1. Keep a record of appointments and milestones - There's so much information, instructions and dates to remember during pregnancy, especially for first-time parents. It helps to keep an organized journal or tracker to ensure you don't miss any important appointments or prenatal checks.

2. Stock up on healthy snacks - Keep healthy snacks readily available for those hungry moments, this ensures you're not reaching for unhealthy options. Fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds are great options to keep around!

3. Keep a support network close - Reach out to your friends, family or support groups during this time. It's always nice to have people around who can offer advice, share experiences, or simply lend an ear when you need one.

Love hearing everyone's tips and recommendations!

Having a supportive community is so important, something that I think often gets overlooked in the busyness of preparing for the baby's arrival. It's comforting to have people around who've experienced what you're going through, especially for us first-time moms! And I agree about the snacks! Having nutritious bites helps keep energy levels stable and is especially helpful during those late nights when cooking seems like a chore.

Yeah, it's super important to have people who understand what you're going through! The experiences shared by other parents, especially those who've been through it all for the first time, can be very insightful! Snacks are a must-have item that often goes overlooked til you're starving and too tired to cook. Stocking up on healthy snacks is definitely a good idea!

You're absolutely right; an supportive community is a godsend, especially for us mums who need all the help we can get! Late-night snacking keeps you going when you're too tired to cook a proper meal - thank goodness for nutritious finger foods!

Yup, we mums need our energy boosters! It's a great idea to keep a stock of healthy, easy-to-eat snacks. Nothing wrong with a little treat to get us through the night, eh?

Absolutely! Pregnancy can be exhausting and it's so important to keep your energy levels up with healthy treats. Fruits, nuts, granola bars & smoothies are some great options. And yes, an occasional indulgent snack won't do any harm either - after all, you're growing a human!

What are some of your go-to healthy snacks?

My favorite healthy snacks have been frozen or canned fruits, easy to eat and mess-free like applesauce, pears, or peaches. I also keep some trail mix with nuts, dried fruits, and dark chocolate in a small portion bag for when my sweet tooth kicks in - it's a nice indulgent but healthy treat.

Fruits are a great go-to snack, especially because they're so mess-free! I also really like the idea of having some trail mix as a backup for when your blood sugar dips - it's good to have something wholesome on hand to curb any cravings!

Are there any other healthy snacks you ladies recommend that are easy to keep around the house? I'm due in a couple of months and want to stock up on good food options!

Yogurt, nuts, hard-boiled eggs, and protein bars are some other snacks that can help keep your energy levels stable and are easy to grab.

Having some pre-cut veggies like carrots and celery with hummus or peanut butter as a dip is also a great option! It's literally just cutting the veggies and portioning out the dip once, and you have a hassle-free, healthy snack ready for when your appetite strikes.

Congratulations by the way, and I hope you're feeling well!

I've been eating a lot of fruits these days. They are easy to eat and healthy too. But they tend to get boring after some time. I will try your suggestions; cutting veggies in advance is a great idea!

Do you have other food recommendations that expecting mothers can benefit from?

Fruits and vegetables are great choices for snacks! Some other healthy options that most expecting mothers could benefit from could include lean proteins such as fish, chicken, beans, nuts, and seeds.
It is also a good idea to incorporate calcium-rich foods like dairy products or green leafy vegetables - your body will need the extra calcium! Additionally, whole grains like brown rice, quinoa, and oatmeal can provide complex carbohydrates and fiber, keeping you full for longer and providing essential nutrients.

You could also think about healthy fats such as avocados, olive oil, nuts, and seeds, which can be a great source of good calories and essential fatty acids. You might find that your appetite changes too, so it's beneficial to listen to your body and eat according to your cravings - within reason! Moderation is key, and you might find you can enjoy small amounts of the foods you crave.

Remember to consult your doctor or healthcare professional if you have any concerns about your diet or specific recommendations tailored to your needs.

Great suggestions! pregnancy is a time when our bodies require a bit more attention to nutrition. It's a good idea to stock up on healthy snacks like fruits and veggies and have them readily available - that way they're easy to grab when cravings strike!

Calcium-rich foods are sometimes overlooked, so it's a useful reminder to include them in our diets. And you're right about lean proteins - fish especially is a great option for omega-3 fatty acids, which are incredibly beneficial for brain development.

I've also heard that ginger and mint can help with nausea - worth keeping some tea bags of these on hand! Let's stress the importance of moderation and consulting individual healthcare needs - such good points!

Some great suggestions all round!

In terms of battling those nausea feelings, it's also worth thinking about keeping some dry crackers close by too - some women find having them to hand can really help. And of course, it's a good idea to check in with your healthcare provider before taking any new teas or remedies.

It's such a great opportunity to focus on nurturing our bodies and setting healthy patterns for the future - I agree that being mindful of moderation and personal health needs is key!

Yes, every pregnant woman and her experience is different - those crackers can come in handy for some, but they may not work for others. Same goes for ginger tea: some find it helpful, others find the very smell offensive during their sensitive pregnancy days.

Women's bodies are fascinating - they have an amazing capacity to adapt, especially with the right support and mindset!

True, every pregnancy is unique and what works for some may not work for others. The key is to have a supportive environment where expecting mothers can explore what helps them individually. The body's adaptability is remarkable!

That's so true - every expectant mother should have access to lots of options and advice, and feel empowered to choose what works best for her and the bump! Having a supportive network is half the battle won :)

Absolutely! It's so important to have a good support system, and access to different options and resources - it can make such a difference throughout the journey and outcome.

Having a network of support is an incredible advantage and can really impact the experience positively. It's great to have access to resources and options too - it empowers expecting mothers to make informed choices.

Absolutely! Sometimes it can be easy to focus on the physical aspects of pregnancy, but the mental and emotional support is incredibly important too. Having people around who understand the journey and can offer reassurance and advice is such a help, especially for first-time parents. It's lovely when expectant mothers have that village of support! And you're so right about resources - being able to access accurate information from reliable sources empowers women to make those all-important decisions with confidence.
