A parenting win for me was discovering an effective strategy to help my toddler overcome her fear of getting her ears checked at the doctor's office. After two previous unpleasant experiences, I was dreading the third appointment. But this time, I prepared by bringing her favourite snacks and toys as a distraction. Amazingly, she sat still throughout the exam, even letting the nurse clean her ears without any tears! She left with a smile on her face, ear infections treated, and a sticker for being such a brave girl - definitely a hard-fought victory!
