I'll go first! One challenge I faced was finding effective ways to communicate with my child who has special needs. It was difficult to understand each other at times, but we got creative and started using sign language together - it was amazing to see how excited she got when she could convey her wants and needs to me, and vice versa! That small victory made all the frustration fade away.

Those early milestones are definitely cause for celebration - you feel like you've conquered something major, especially because up until then it felt like an around-the-clock job, and not always a very rewarding one at that! But man, when they say their first word or take those cute little wobbly steps, it's such a heartwarming feeling.
