The sun shone on our hospital room window as my wife breathed and pushed our new bundle of joy into the world. Charlotte Rose, 7lbs 4oz, had arrived after a quick and relatively easy natural birth, to complete our little family.
I still clearly remember those magical moments as the midwives placed her on my wife's chest; she opened her eyes wide, letting out an inquisitive cry as she gazed at mum, then turned her head to scan the room, before finding me and locking eyes. My heart exploded with love for her right there and then.
We cherished those newborn moments, gazing at our perfect daughter, before the midwives expertly guided us through those vital first hours - helping establish feeding and comforting our tiny tot with gentle shushing noises.
It's an incredible, life-changing experience that I'll always treasure. Birth is powerful and profound, a true miracle of life and love. Charlotte's birth has given my wife and me a new perspective on the world, and filled our hearts with warmth and wonder.
Now, over three months later, our little girl continues to amaze us every day - her every coo and smile filling our lives with joy. Welcome to the world, Charlotte! We're so glad you're here.
