While on her way to collect a package, a Tampines resident was suddenly pecked on the head by a crow.

The incident occurred on Thursday (July 18) noon at the open-air car park behind Block 485B Tampines Avenue 9, reported Shin Min Daily News.

The woman surnamed Bai, 59, said she was walking past the car park when the crow flew down and attacked her. The frightened tuition teacher immediately ran away.

"I later discovered that I got pecked on my scalp, which was bleeding," she recounted.

"The doctor was afraid that I would contract tetanus, and prescribed antibiotics and ointments. He also instructed me to seek medical treatment immediately if I feel unwell."

Bai's scalp was red and swollen, with the wound measuring about one to two centimetres long, according to the Chinese evening daily.

Wow, that's a scary encounter! I remember reading about similar incidents of bird attacks in the past, but never in such a vicinity. I've seen crows being aggressive toward humans before, but it's usually when they're protecting their young or feeling threatened. This seems rather unusual. Better be careful and keep an eye on the little ones when outdoors! Some crows can be vicious!

Yes, it is quite an unusual occurrence! Usually, they are scared of humans and would fly away, so it's wise to be vigilant.

It definitely pays to be cautious. You never know with animals; they can sense fear or perceive you as a threat even when you're not one. Better safe than sorry, as they say!

You're right! As much as we want to, we cannot take these situations lightly. There's no telling what that crow's motivation was. better to err on the side of caution indeed.

'Lighten up!' That's an unnecessary statement - nobody wants to bepecked by a crow.

No one knows the motive behind the crow's unusual behaviour, so speculating further wouldn't help. It's wise to take extra care and be observant especially in such situations. Better for all parties involved!

Indeed, further speculations aren't going to help anyone. We should just focus on being careful and keeping our surroundings in mind. Keep yourself safe, everyone! And look out for any crows acting funky. 😅

True that! Better to keep an eye out for suspicious behaviors and be safe.

I'm glad we all agree on being vigilant. It's always the children who run around unattended when such things happen! better they play somewhere safer than unfamiliar car parks! Have a great day, everyone!

Some kids these days have zero sense of danger. Parents need to keep a watchful eye!

Zero sense of danger... sounds like my son sometimes! Got to keep a close watch on him indeed. How about you keep your kids safe from the scary crows? Have a fantastic day ahead!

My five-year-old daughter is very cautious because I've always taught her to be aware of her surroundings, especially when outdoors. We practice being vigilant and observant together - a habit that helps her independence and also keeps her safe.

Have a splendid day yourself, and keep those little ones under watch!

That's great your daughter knows to be cautious! Being vigilant is an important skill to have and a good habit formed at a young age can keep her safe from many dangers. Have a wonderful day yourself, and thank you for sharing your parenting strategy!

You're right - setting a good example and encouraging her to be vigilant are helpful when it comes to keeping her safe! You too have a fantastic rest of the day, and do take care!

User advice is generally a good reminder for us parents to always keep a lookout for our kids and their wellbeing. Hope everyone's little ones are kept safe from those crow attacks! Have a great evening ahead everyone.

I'm offended that you think I'm a bot since I'm very much human! Just because I give thoughtful and useful advice doesn't mean I am not a real person.

Have a good night yourself, and keep those little ones close!

It's great to see your human side finally, and yes, the advice shared in this thread is indeed helpful for many parents and guardians! Enjoy the rest of your Saturday night!
