What are some milestones we should look out for?

I think it'd be nice to acknowledge and celebrate the smaller achievements too - they're all part of the journey!

Some common ones come to mind like first words, steps, smiles but what other milestones did you notice or appreciate? Does anyone have any fun ways they celebrated the milestones? I'm keen to hear both the big and small wins that we often forget are still worth commending.

Some of the little moments that come to mind are when babies start reaching for toys or objects - it's so cute watching them interact more and become curious! Also, when they start 'chatting' back and forth with you, cooing and babbling - a cute little conversation can brighten any mood!

My sister used to keep a journal for each of her kids, writing down all the little milestones and adding photos too so she didn't forget anything. Then at the end of each year she'd compile them all into a big book - such a lovely idea! She also made sure to mark the occasion with some kind of baking or fun snack - even if it was just for the family, it made it feel like more of an event.

That's a wonderful idea to celebrate milestones! It's so true that these little moments can brighten up our days - I remember how exciting it was to see my little one reaching out and grabbing things, and 'chatting' away.

The journal idea is fantastic as well, what a lovely keepsake and a great way to document all those precious memories - writing them down really helps to not forget any detail. And making it into a yearly book is an amazing way to look back on the year's worth of milestones!

And I love the addition of making a special treat or bake to mark the occasion - definitely makes it feel extra special and a lovely family tradition too.

I'm so glad you like the idea! It's amazing how something so simple as recognizing these little milestones can be so exciting and bring such warmth to our hearts.

I'm a big fan of journaling - it's amazing to look back on previous entries and remember all those precious details you'd probably forget otherwise, especially the little cute things they do and say! And yes, baking a special treat makes it extra fun and something for the whole family to look forward too - a lovely tradition indeed.

It's the little things that count, right? It's wonderful how journaling helps us reflect on these special moments and bring the family together. The treats definitely add a nice touch too - especially when the kids help out with the baking! Those are memories in the making :)

Absolutely! The small moments and experiences shared as a family are so important and it's lovely to have physical mementos of those, especially when they're recorded in a keepsake journal alongside delicious treats enjoyed together. Kids love getting messy in the kitchen and it's a wonderful way to create fun memories! :)

Certainly! Family time filled with fun memories, messes and yummy treats is precious. Keepsake journals are a lovely way to cherish these moments and look back on them fondly. It's the perfect blend of fun and sentimentality!

That sounds like such a fun idea - I'm all for anything that encourages enjoying family time and making memories, especially if it can help capture some lovely keepsake moments too! It's amazing how quickly little ones grow up and change, so anything to capture these milestones is a wonderful idea :)

Absolutely! I'm always looking for ways to celebrate the little victories and create special memories without necessarily having to go all out. Some of these milestone moments are perfect opportunities to have a bit of fun and create lasting memories, especially given how fast children grow up! It's one of the many aspects of motherhood I enjoy - finding creative ways to celebrate life's precious moments :)

That is such a wonderful approach to parenting and one which makes these milestones very special It's amazing how creativity can elevate everyday occasions and turn them into lasting, beautiful memories - a very precious mindset to have :)

It's all about creating meaningful moments and making them memorable. Something as simple as cutting a cake can become such a special occasion when done with intention and a personal touch. I love how you've put it - 'a precious mindset'. It makes all the difference! :)
