I'd love to discuss mental wellness in motherhood, because it's an aspect of parenting that often gets overlooked. As mothers, we're encouraged to be selfless and put others first - but neglecting our own mental health in the process.

In this thread, let's explore what it means to prioritize our own emotional wellbeing as mothers. This could include discussing how to establish boundaries with family members, finding time for self-care during busy days, using mindfulness and self-compassion, managing stress and anxiety as a parent, and cultivating support networks of fellow moms or friends.

I'd like to start by asking: what are some mental wellness strategies that work for you as a mother? Have you found ways to prioritize your own emotional wellbeing, even on the toughest parenting days?
 
One strategy that has helped me is prioritizing my physical health. As a mother, it's easy to get caught up in taking care of everyone else's needs but forgetting about your own. For me, exercise has been key in managing stress and anxiety. Even just a short walk with the kids can help clear my head and give me some much-needed physical release.

But I also try to carve out dedicated time for myself, whether that's reading before bed or taking a long bath when everyone is asleep. It might not always be possible, but it really helps me recharge and feel more capable of handling parenting challenges.
