I've been exclusively breastfeeding DD until last night, when I switched to mixed feeding with one bottle before bed after being at a work event earlier that evening (DH was away) and getting very thirsty while out.

The bf didn't go too badly in retrospect, but I can imagine the timing of the first (ever?) bottle might have been a bit tricky given our routine, especially since DD seemed happy with it last night.

Is there much guidance on when to introduce bottles? Some mothers say they had to stop bf if they introduced feeding from a bottle when their babies were just a few weeks old. Would love to hear experiences and advice!
