I'll start by sharing my experience, which still gives me goosebumps every time I recall it.
My labor with my first child began on a cool summer night, and from the very beginning, it was intense. The contractions were close together and powerful. As we made our way to the hospital, I remember gripping the edge of the backseat, focused on breathing through each wave of pain.
Arriving at the hospital, I was already 8cm dilated, and things progressed quickly from there. With each contraction, I felt an overwhelming urge to push, and before I knew it, I was told I could feel the head! On that note, this tiny being slipped into my arms, and there I was, a mother. It happened so fast, but in that moment, time stood still.
Looking back, I realize how incredible and powerful that experience was, an experience that prepared me well for motherhood - nothing fazes you when you've brought life into this world!
Does anyone else have a story they'd like to share? Perhaps one that left a lasting impression or one that empowers each time it's recalled?
