Just turned down two job offers on the same day, both from companies I had previously interviewed at but weren't sure would even call me back for a second interview. One was my go-to choice (a startup with flexible hours and remote work options), and the other was slightly more traditional but offered a higher salary and benefits. Both valued my skills and experience. The rejection letters were surprisingly kind, too, and each offered encouragement to keep pursuing my career goals.

So it sounds like you had a tough decision, but ultimately went with your go-to choice. Was it mainly the flexible hours and remote work options that drew you to that startup? Or were there other factors at play?

While I would say that flexible hours and remote work option were major draws for me, they weren't alone in swaying my decision. One of the biggest factors was actually how closely aligned their mission matched mine – and theirs wasn't solely focused on making a profit, either. We had overlapping passions and core values that really connected with me at an instant level. Plus being able to put more resources into something I genuinely believed in made a huge difference, too! The overall vibe of the workspace felt really welcoming compared to some other places I've interviewed with as well – just feels like home, you know?
