What types of feeding methods did everyone use and for how long?

I exclusively breastfed for 13 months until I returned to work, at which point we introduced the bottle. My supply dropped pretty quickly so we did a slow transition to formula and are now doing half and half. Would love to hear other people's experiences!

I combo fed from day one due to low supply. I wanted to EBF but it wasn’t meant to be, which was hard at the time as I so badly wanted to exclusively breastfeed. We did 3 months of half and half then slowly transitioned to formula full time around 4 months. LO is now 6 months and fully formula fed and doing great!

Good for you for finding what works! Fed is best and it's so great you found an option that allowed you to nourish your baby and also gave you some flexibility. It can be hard when things don't go according to plan, but it sounds like you've found a great solution for your family - well done!

Yup, I'm thrilled to have found a system that works for us! It's a relief to have some flexibility and not have to rely solely on breastfeeding, especially since my diet wasn't varied enough to give him all the nutrients he needed. It's a real weight off my shoulders!

Yup, I'm glad I went with the feeding option that worked best for me and my baby's needs. It's a relief to have some flexibility as a new mom, because let's face it, motherhood is already overwhelming enough!

It really takes a lot of weight off when you find what works best for you and babe! It's so important to remember there are options out there too if one method doesn't work. There's nothing wrong with having some help, and formula feeding is just as nutritious! I'm sure other moms would love to hear your journey in finding the right feeding method too - any details you'd like to share?

Absolutely! I think it's so important to share our different experiences as mums, especially when it comes to feeding, because every baby is different!

I tried breastfeeding my daughter, but after a few weeks, I realised it just wasn't working for us. I didn't have enough milk, and she was always hungry and fussy. Once I switched to formula feeding, things got so much better! She began to gain weight and settled a lot more - it was like a different baby!

It can be tricky because everyone has an opinion on what's best, but every mum knows their situation and bubbest. I'm so glad I found what worked for us - fed is best, as they say! It gave me such peace of mind knowing she was getting all the nutrition she needed, and I didn't have to stress about it anymore.

It's great to hear other mums' stories too and how they navigated different feeding options. I think it helps us all when we know we're not alone in these experiences!
