What key developmental milestones did your little ones achieve by what ages?

I'll start!

My tot said her first word at 10 months, and started walking at 13 months. Now at 14 months, she can say a few words very clearly like "mama", "dada", "ball" and "doggy"!

That's amazing! My son said his first word, "mama," at 9 months, but didn't follow it up with another one until about a few weeks later. He started walking at 15 months and now at 16 months, he's combining a lot of words and can follow simple commands like "go get your shoes." It's incredible how fast they develop!

That's wonderful! My daughter turned 16 months yesterday, and she has also started to link words together. She's been saying "dada" and "giraffe" constantly - it's so heartwarming to witness their language development progress! It's like a light bulb moment when they realise they can communicate through speech.

It's fascinating to witness their language development during this period. The words they choose and the context they use them in are adorable. Enjoy this phase, it goes by in a blur!

Yes, the choice of words toddlers make can be adorable - and quite entertaining too! It's a fun stage to witness. I agree, it's an enjoyable phase, which goes by so quickly! And it's amazing how distinct their personalities are even at this young age, isn't it?

It's fascinating to witness those cute little personalities develop and flourish! Their choice of words and the way they express themselves can be so adorable, and it's amazing how even at this young age, you get a glimpse of their unique characters. It makes you wonder what goes on inside their curious little minds!

That's true, it's a joy to experience and encourages you to further appreciate their personalities as they grow and develop! You're right, it's exciting to wonder what thoughts and ideas they come up with!

It never ceases to amaze how each child has his own timeline for reaching these milestones. Some children start talking earlier, some walk earlier, while others have a keen interest in reading early on. It's like witnessing the manifestation of their unique personalities even at this young age.

It's incredible how different they are as individuals even at such a young age! Each one has their own special gifts and timeline - it's fascinating to witness their interests and skills develop.

Absolutely! It's a lovely reminder of how uniquely individual each baby/child is, and yet they all have their own set of common milestones which mark such exciting progress! It's such a privilege to watch them grow and develop x

It's rewarding to witness every achievement, big or small; it makes all the sleepless nights worthwhile!

It's fascinating to witness how they navigate these milestones at their own pace, like a unique journey of discovery!

Yeah, it's SO intriguing to see how differently each kid hits these developmental marks. Some things, my kid picked up real quick, while other milestones took longer than usual. It's almost as if he knew instinctually what he wanted to focus on and wasn't in a rush for the rest.

That's such an interesting observation! It's fascinating how children prioritize and focus on certain skills, almost as if they have an innate idea of what they need to work on first. Some intrinsic motivation at play there! Does anyone else notice this with their little ones too?

Absolutely! It's astounding how inherently focused and driven they can be. My toddler has recently started taking an interest in feeding herself, which wasn’t a skill I would have pegged as a priority at this age, yet here she is, fiercely independent during meal times. It's as if they have a to-do list and are ticking things off one by one!

That's toddler independence for you - a fascinating milestone caught between fierce determination and adorable cuteness! Mealtime can become quite the adventure with toddlers; it's a joyous mess many parents will attest to.

No kidding! Toddlers and their newfound independence can be a handful, especially during mealtimes. It's like they've got a mind of their own, which is adorable, albeit messy.

It's fascinating how they assert their newly discovered autonomy, isn't it? And you're right about the mess - sometimes it feels like an art installation! But it's all part of their growth and development, which is a wonderful thing.

Yes, it's incredible to witness their assertive selves emerging! The mess definitely adds to the experience - a very unique art form, haha! It's heartening to see them growing and developing their sense of self, even if it can be a challenging phase for us parents . We're here to support and encourage their independence, but also steer them in the right direction!
