Having some spare clothes on hand is a savior because spit-up and unexpected accidents happen all the time! Diaper cream also works wonders for preventing rashes and soothing sensitive skin down there.

Newborns like being held and carried close, so don't be scared to wear your baby in a sling or carrier. It leaves your hands free and provides the coziness and comfort that your little one craves.

For colic or gassy babies, burping them mid-feed or upright after a meal can help a lot. Some parents swear by bicycle legs or gentle massages on their tummies too. It's also good to know that cluster feeding is normal, especially in the evenings, and it can help boost milk supply!

Keep a cool head and seek help when needed. Parenting can be overwhelming at times, so having a support system of your partner, family, or mom friends makes a huge difference!

It's really quite simple ah. For me, the most important thing is to always stay calm and patient cos' babies can sense your moods one. When they're crying, it's usually for a reason - could be hungry or dirty diaper or they need a quick nap. So first, check for these obvious signs lah. If everything looks good, then maybe they just want some comfort and cuddles.

Also, have a routine for sleep and feeding times helps leh. Newborns love routine cos' their world is so new and confusing; this way, they know what to expect. Having said that, every baby is unique - what works for one may not work for another, so don't give up and don't be afraid to try different methods!

And remember, always consult your doc or nurse if you're unsure about anything at all - better safe than sorry!

When they're learning how to eat solid food, let the little ones wear old clothes that you don't mind getting messy and stained! Mealtimes can get reaaally Messy! So prepare also lah, have some baby wipes or a damp cloth within reach for easy clean up! And maybe also some wet ones for sticky hands and faces.

For teething, one trick is to get some hard but soft material and freeze it. Let the baby chew on it like a pacifier. The cold temperature can help numb the pain and provide some relief.

Another one's for runny noses - tissue isn't the greatest option for sensitive newborn skin. Use balled-up muslin cloths or soft, thin cotton towels instead! They're gentle and super absorbent too. Works well for mopping up milk spits and dribbles as well.

And of course, always have some infant paracetamol on hand. It's a lifesaver when they're really fussy and nothing else seems to help. But do check with the doc first before giving any meds!

For colicky babies, I find that holding the little one upright helps to soothe their tummies and reduces the discomfort. A good old bounce and shuffle around the house also does the trick!

When it comes to sleep, some white noise like a fan or humidifier can help baby get into a deep slumber. And for teething woes, chillin' some toys in the fridge before giving them to the little one can provide some relief.

Newborns tend to spit up quite often, so keeping a packet of wet wipes and a clean cloth at hand is super useful! Oh, and for those poopy explosions, have some baby-friendly laundry detergent ready too - cold water is your best friend in situations like these! haha!

Last but not least, keep a small stash of snacks for yourself! Those middle-of-the-night feedings can really work up an appetite. A hungry mama is never a happy one! ;)
